Hot & Sexy Summer Hair trends

I’m torn on my hair prediction this summer, I can see some great short looks coming into play. However, I feel like the main look this summer is going to be long gold-y locks. Take a look a some of what I think is going to be trending this spring and summer.
I feel like there’s a few changes to the norm… one being no bangs! That’s right… I think bangs are going to be out this year ladies. I can’t believe I just said that *shutters*

For our darker lovers...

I love this hairstyle because it has a pinch of everything. It’s long romantic waves creates a really beautiful frame of the face, and the highlighted colors mixed in with the darker brown lets you go lighter without having to drastically change your hair. It also has some really nice longer layers that hit in the perfect spots where you wouldnt’ necessarily need bangs.
I feel like I always need them to help frame my face, but with this style I would bet on a no bangs summer.



Look at the three different very beautiful ways that Jennifer Lopez wears her long golden locks… I think this is the way that I’m going to go this summer. Lighter, longer, and again no bang. Just a nice long layered look.


I still absolutely love this short, sleek, uneven look. If I wasn’t so hell-bent on growing my hair long, I would chop it off and do this in a HEARTBEAT! A HEARTBEAT I TELL YOU! These looks have bangs, and I love them…

Bare Minerals Ready collection review

Becoming highly involved with reviewing beauty products, you get a lot thrown your way. I have to admit, this was harder than I thought because I easily fall in love with things. I am, however, one of those people who prefers to buy the cheaper brand because I can’t afford to break the bank. I can honestly sit here and tell you that I will make that exception for Bare Minerals. The new Ready Collection just hit the shelves, and this by far has to be some of my favorite mineral make-up. The quality of the make-up, the ingredients, and what benefits it has…. really surpasses anything that I’ve ever seen. Take a look at what I love about everything I got, and some pictures of my “Ready Look”.

Ready Collection: Bronzer, and Blushes, and SPF foundation with Tinted Mineral Veil

Even the slogan of the company is amazing… Be a Force of Beauty. This new ready collection is all new and just launched. Its so easy to use because it takes all the fuss out of mineral make-up. It’s all pressed into a completely mess free compact, and I love the colors they put together for us.
The other thing that I found amazing about the foundation itself was the SPF 15 that’s in there. I can not stress enough how IMPORTANT SPF is and protecting your face from the elements. The fact that they thought enough about it to include some SPF in the foundation was genius! I love the coverage and soft feel the foundation mixed with the tinted mineral veil gives my face. High 5 on that!

Inside no flash

Next thing I loved was the Ready Bronzer! I tried mine in The High Dive, and The Skinny Dip. They both look great on over my Fairly Medium foundation. Also, the Ready Blush is really smooth and pretty. I got The Faux Pa and The Aphrodisiac. The colors have just enough shimmer to make your skin look glowing and illuminated without making you look too glammed out.

Outside no flash... in the sun

For my Ready look I used The Elements Quad eyeshadow. I love the colors and how smooth they went on. I also used the precision brush to help apply all 4 colors of the quad. Stay tuned for our tutorial on that, and another tutorial with the Grand Finale duo. The beautiful yellow and blue colors will make you want to go out and get all of these… seriously guys…. I LOVE THEM!

WOW! All I can say… Just when you think you can’t love anymore cosmetics you fall in love with something new. Lorac cosmetics sent me some samples to try from their collection, and I never would have thought that I would enjoy them as much as I do.
First off let me tell you I am not a foundation person at all. IN FACT, I hate it. I HATE FOUNDATION! If you ever catch me in any kind of foundation usually it’s a powder mineral foundation, or my tinted moisturizer, or Beauty Balm.. but never a straight-up creamy foundation. So, when Lorac sent me Natural Performance Foundation I was a little skeptic about trying it. I was so wrong this stuff is AMAZING! I love it.. I love everything about it. The creamy feel, the light coverage, the ingredients… take a look at this.

In my travels I have come across some really awesome nail polish colors and trends. For spring, what I love the most is all the color and bright personalities that tend to pop out. Take a look at some really bright & amazing colors that I have fallen in love with for the Spring season.

Anna Szabo and Kerry Howell have been friends for nearly 20 years. When they first met working at a law firm, the two gals bonded over their passion for makeup and their desire to leave the corporate culture.

I really wanted to re-create a great, dewy, fresh-faced look for you guys today. I used some of my favorite things from Youngblood Cosmetics, and a mixture of others to create this highly do-able look for spring 2012.
Youngblood has some really amazing mineral make-up I don’t know if you guys remember, but we did a review of them earlier, and they have been some of my favorite things in my make-up bag since.

To re-create ‘My Dewy look’ I used:

• Beauty Balm by Too Faced Cosmetics
• Youngblood’s Luminous Crème Blush in Champagne Life
• Youngblood’s Cream blush in Plum Satin
• Mac’s Loose powder in Shimmery Peach (This isn’t available in stores anymore sadly, but if I can find it anywhere I will let you know)

Prtty Peaushun was also mentioned in our little video for the perfect ‘self tanner’ I love this product! It’s my miricle worker when I go out on photo-shoots or events.
